Happy New Year to all at Spring Road Toddler group.

We Start our new term on Friday 6th January and look forward to seeing you all then.

We had a great Autumn term with lots of really creative crafts made by the children with a theme of animals and ending with our festive party. We also enjoyed getting to know some of you more at our Sri Lanka meal, which also allowed some of the mums to see where their donations go and how we help the work there.

For the Spring term we will be taking the theme Numbers with our crafts and activities.

Welcome back we hope you had a lovely Summer break. It was great to see lots of you this week as we started back,the children enjoyed making Elephant maize pictures and it was nice to see old and new faces.This term we have a fun packed program planned with Animals as our story and craft theme.We meet as usual every Friday 10-11.30am. Don’t forget to remind one of us when your child has a birthday coming up, we would hate to miss out on cake.

We are coming up towards the end of a busy term which we have all enjoyed. In the next few weeks we are planning to take toddlers outside if the British weather allows us to. So On Friday July 15^th the Toddler group will be meeting at 9 Rosoman Road.

There will be the same fun activities and toys plus a treasure hunt and a bouncy castle(weather permitting). If it is raining then we will meet as usual in the church hall. Also there will be some cream teas for the adults to enjoy so come along and enjoy the fun.

On The last day of term which is Friday 22nd  July we plan to meet at Itchen Valley country park for games and a picnic. We will meet at the play area near the cafe at 10.30 for a treasure hunt and play trail then games and food. Again this will depend on the weather, if it is wet, we will meet at the church as normal.

This term our theme is God made… we have so far looked at God made animals which included a maze picture activity,God made colours, which the children particualy enjoyed as they decorated biscuits with lots of coloured sweets. This week (20/5/11) we looked at God made the world which was teamed by a creative world mobile activity.

We have seen lots of new faces this half term and many regulars as well and we continue to enjoy meeting with you all. It’s the last Toddlers next week before half term and we will return 10/6/11. We have plenty of activities planned including some outdoor fun as well.

We hope all the parents,carers and grandparents who come have a fantastic half term holiday and look forward to seeing you after half term.

p.s. Don’t forget that the Church have an invitation service once a month which all are welcome to. The next one is this Sunday 22/5/11. Afterwards we join together for a fellowship meal in the back hall.
